Daily Logo Challenge - Day 1 & 2

Comet – a rocketship

Crown – hot air balloon

I started the Daily Logo Challenge this weekend. Its 50 days so I’m going to push myself to make improvements each day with every new theme/name I’m given and be as creative as possible. For the two above, I probably sent 45 minutes in totally, this included sketching ideas first on paper and then moving onto illustrator.

Baby shower favors!

Baby shower favors!

I was asked to make some favors for a baby shower this year and I’ve just came across the photos of them on my phone so I thought I’d post them on here.

I created a small illustration for the personalised tags and printed them out on some creamy champagne coloured card. I wasn’t too sure how the ink would sit on the shiny surface of the tag and the black ink almost looked brown when printed out.

Letterpress and embroidery

A friend bought me a small rubber letterpress stamp from Portobello market a few weeks ago. The flowing curves and patterns intertwining with the typeface inspired me to produce my own design. I created small illustrations and then planned out the design on fabric and recreated it using thread to add colour.

I love sew by hand, probably because I'm not great at it but I find it therapeutic.

Journal pages

First year of university complete! We were told to keep a journal throughout the year which is to be filled with everything and anything. Here are some of the pages from my journal. I thought this was a really lovely project for first year as you were forced to record your journey at university visually, some really lovely memories inside mine!
