Unfortunately, I accidently deleted all of the photos from 2012 - 2013 which showed work from college and all of the other stuff in between, included art gallery pictures, trips, mehndi stuff, photography and more. :(
I think I will always keep all of my craft projects and development here. I also have a few book reviews too, so I will keep this informal.
I've updated my website and you can check it out here: sonaldesigns.com
My portfolio will be on there and updated. All of my process pictures and close ups of my work can be found on Instagram @sonal.designs

Baby shower favors!
Baby shower
favors!
I was asked
to make some favors for a baby shower this year and I’ve just came
across the photos of them on my phone so I thought I’d post them on here.
I created a
small illustration for the personalised tags and printed them out on some creamy champagne coloured
card. I wasn’t too sure how the ink would sit on the shiny surface of the tag
and the black ink almost looked brown when printed out.
Top left: the artwork for the tags, top right: the jars filled with pop corn 'ready to pop!', bottom: the printed tag

We Love Your Books - Ebb and Flow Submission
As we go through life we discover that nothing stays the same. We grow, change, lose, gain, arrive, leave and love. This is life in constant motion.
As a part of my publishing project I created 2 books; 1 was a handmade/craft book and the other was digitally printed book. I submitted my handmade project to www.weloveyourbooks.com and is now on their website. The theme for 2015 was Ebb and Flow so I decided to focus on the changes of life.
My handmade project or ‘book’ became a mobile hanging made from handmade paper (which I made myself). I called this project ‘Life In Constant Motion’.
The flowing pattern on each disk is different and reflects the ebb and flow in life. Life constantly changes and there is nothing we can do but observe and embrace it as it happens.

Type Project at Uni
This was the outcome, a typeface I decided to call Delight. Using inspiration from a chocolate box for the colour pallet and packaging for the type. Using shimmery cream stock and patterns created from the type design, I presented the type in a small box with a booklet.
And here is all the waste from the nets I made. I made a couple of spare boxes too!

Letterpress and embroidery
I love sew by hand, probably because I'm not great at it but I find it therapeutic.
